     Keen Creek Diversion Pond is always a pleasure to visit. A lake nearby is Keene Creek Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at Windmill Inn And Suites Of Ashland. This place, the Southern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Good hiking is available along the Buck Point Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Shasta River offers some great whitewater. Go for a hike on the Bieberstedt Trail, and after a long day outdoors Lithia Springs Resort  
   And Gardens is a wonderful place to spend a night or two.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. Any time is a brilliant time at Keen Creek Diversion Pond if you fancy the outdoors. Burnt Creek is in close proximity to Keen Creek Diversion Pond and is always a diversion to check out, and Keen Creek Diversion Pond is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, Hyatt Lake Campground is a splendid site to camp nearby. This
 
               place is so good, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do near Keen Creek Diversion Pond. Keen Creek Diversion Pond is not the only spot close by, Little Hyatt Reservoir is a close by lake, and Green Springs Summit is absolutely a perfect place to have a look at.
So much exciting stuff to do in the Southern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Jenny Creek; you get a great panorama of Green Springs Mountain from here. Stay the night at Campers Cove, and Hobart Bluff is a pleasant place to visit while in the neighborhood. It is very dried out here at Keen Creek Diversion Pond frequently; December is the month that gets the most rain; July is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Mt. Ashland is great, and the scenery at Keene Creek Diversion Dam is picturesque. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Southern Cascade Range. At Keen Creek Diversion Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Keen Creek Diversion Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. There's brilliant hiking along the Mount Ashland Trail; a good place like Hyatt Meadows here at Keen Creek Diversion Pond is too fine to miss.

You have got to be kidding. IV-V+???!!!!!! Has someone really run the falls? You make it sound like a like just any old run. It can only be run at the few times there is enough water and for a large part of the run, barb wire, willow thickets in the channel and recluses with shotguns are the main obstacles. Only the last few miles has whitewater of note and it is challenging. I ran this section in the mid eighties and claim along with my buddies Kent Erskine and Max Linn a first descent....

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
