A visit to Karl Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. You get a magnificent sight of Lowder Mountain from Karl Lake, and you're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Ruth Lake is one of those close by. Summertime highs at Karl Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's with temperatures at Karl Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.

| | All the water falling down from the sky makes Karl Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is December while July is generally the driest month.
Karl Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Patio RV Park is a glorious local campground; there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Horse Creek. If the weather is tremendous here at Karl Lake, you can go for a hike along the Pyramid Trail. There's so much to do here at Karl Lake that | |

you need to camp here for a while, Twin Springs Campground is a good place for that. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things close to Karl Lake. Quaking Aspen Swamp is an interesting swamp in close proximity to Karl Lake;
you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Saddle Trail.
The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. So many entertaining things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not sufficient time. Going for a hike along
the Tipsoo Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend McKenzie River - South Fork. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. The snow is great at Hoodoo.
