Do pay a visit to Lava Beds National Monument while you're here at Junction Waterhole, and do put some time aside to spend at Alkali Spring while you're here at Junction Waterhole. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Antelope Reservoir; swamps like Adobe Flat are fun to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Willow Valley Campground is a good campground here, and nearby       you hit upon Bear Valley Canyon which is a magnificent site to stop at. Having a splendid time in the Southern Cascade Range is painless. Antelope Dam is an exciting thing to check out, and Brady Butte can be spotted from Junction Waterhole. At Junction Waterhole you don’t see much precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow while July is the month with                  the least amount of precipitation. During the summer months at Junction Waterhole highs are usually in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Junction Waterhole dip into the 10's.
