Lake, and not far from Junco Lake you'll stumble on Camelot Lake which is a lovely lake. So much entertaining stuff near Junco Lake, just inspiring. Hiking along the Horse Lake Trail is delightful fun, and camping is available
at Upper Campground. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. Junco Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently December, that's the one that rains the most, and July on

Winopee Lake
 | Went to Winopee lake this weekend...it was a little dissapointing because the lake is about 45% covered with reeds and lilly pads. The Eastern shore is the only one you can accesst the water without having to wade through reeds. There is quite a few algae blooms so swimming isn't an option. Overall, the view was nice but not spectacular. There are three decent campsites at the lake, popular with horse camps. The best of the three sites is the one on the Eastern bank, take the first trail you come accross before reaching the junction for sno-shoe lake. The second and third campsites are on the West bank and are a little harder to find...head for the clifs and you are there.... |
