Do stop by Junco Lake while you're in this part of Oregon. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Hoodoo. There's so much to do here at Junco Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Upper Campground is a good location for that. Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a magnificent time. Near Junco Lake you stumble on the Wickiup Plain Trail which

| | is a pleasant hiking trail; Squaw Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. Going for a hike on the Horse Lake Trail is always a fine adventure, and The House Rock is uncomplicated to spot from Junco Lake. During the warm months at Junco Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. are in the 20's. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back persistently. It's always wonderful to explore Blacktail Spring, and after a long day outdoors Lodge at Suttle Lake is a
pleasant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Wickiup Plain is a great spot here at Junco Lake, and the Mirror Lake Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go
whitewater paddling on Deschutes River. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Junco Lake has to offer, you can camp at East Lake Resort and RV Parks. The high level of precipitation makes Junco Lake a rather wet site;
the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest of the months is July. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do near Junco Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Bounty Lake, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mt. Bachelor if you're here.
