    The beauty of Jumpoff Joe Lake is reason enough to stop by. Deerhorn Campground is a tremendous campground here, and one of the overriding highlights of the surroundings of Jumpoff Joe Lake is Jumpoff Joe Peak. Lodge At Granite is a splendid site to get some rest, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Jumpoff Joe Trail. It is very arid here at Jumpoff Joe Lake generally; November is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the  
   driest.
This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of John Day River - North Fork right next door to Jumpoff Joe Lake; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Howard Creek. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Blue Mountains. Jumpoff Joe Lake is a perfect location to camp, Trough Creek Campground is a perfect location; if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Beeman Junkens Trail. If only every site had this
 
               much outdoors fun stuff, what a great globe it would be. If you need a place to stay Sag's Motel is a magnificent choice, and going for a hike along the Sunset Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
Through the summertime months at Jumpoff Joe Lake highs are regularly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Jumpoff Joe Lake during the wintertime mostly dip into the 10's. Jumpoff Joe Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Mountains.
