The beauty of Johnson Lake attracts many people from all around. For the duration of the long summer days at Johnson Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Johnson Lake. Lakes are pleasant; Chautauqua Lake is a lake that's close to Johnson Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Johnson Lake. Eastmoreland Golf Course & Driving Range is a good golf course close by, and why not take a little spree to Cow Creek while you're here. Lake; not far from Johnson Lake you'll discover Moss Lakes which is a scenic lake. From a precipitation point of view Johnson Lake is a pretty typical site; through December this area sees the most rain while July is mostly the driest
month. A good nearby hotel is Hampton Inn Portland/Clackamas, and Johnson Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Tall Firs Mobile Home and RV Park is a delightful place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
Clackamas River is a wonderful whitewater spot right next door to Johnson Lake. If you need a location to stay Comfort Suites Clackamas is a good choice, and a journey to Lovawalla Spring will fill your spirit with great feelings.

 | 16 miles away Don't Go all the way to wilsonville for a hotel. if you head in towards portland on the 26, there are plenty of hotels from government camp to welches. Personally if you're going to a lake in the mountains you should be CAMPING. And there are plenty of sites to do so, both reserved and not. There are great hiking trails and it's also full of fish and crawdads. Boating is a must if possible.... |
