Johnny Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area near Johnny Lake has to offer. A day on the slopes of Willamette Pass is just what you need. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. Johnny       Lake is a fine place to camp, Shelter Cove Resort is a fine place, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Twin Peaks Trail. High temperatures at Johnny Lake through the summertime months are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Johnny Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Woodsman Country                  Lodge is a wonderful location to get some rest; going for a hike along the Winopee Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. Camping at Johnny Lake is wonderful fun, North Wickiup Campground is a wonderful local campground, and Clover Meadow is a delightful place to stretch your legs a bit.
