John Henry Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wallowa Mountains. Now, you may imagine that's a lot but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Wallowa Mountains. The peak of Lookout Mountain can be seen from John Henry Lake, and going for a hike on the Copper Creek Trail is always a glorious adventure. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant visit to Brownie Basin is a good way to spend an afternoon, and

| | nearby you discover the North Minam Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail.
It is very arid here at John Henry Lake regularly; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; July is when it's the driest. Why not camp at Out Post RV Park since you're here at John Henry Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Bear Lake. much exciting stuff in one place! The Wallowa Mountains is excellent!. For the duration of the summertime highs here at John Henry Lake reach the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at John Henry Lake.
