Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Raft Lake, and don't leave Jay Lake without first paying a visit to Benz Spring. On a great day at Jay Lake you can take a hike along the Snowshoe Lake Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Deschutes River. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Newberry Station.       There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. Camping at Upper Campground is always a great experience, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Willamette Pass. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Jay Lake. Jay Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a wonderful local campground, and Mt. Bachelor has great slopes and a friendly staff. There is a brilliant                  hiking trail close to Jay Lake called the Cultus Lake Trail, and you can observe Lemish Butte from Jay Lake. Jay Lake gets a lot of water; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is commonly the driest month. Jay Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range. For the period of the summertime here at Jay Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Jay Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is pleasant here at Jay Lake, you can go for a hike along the Winopee Lake Trail. Lakes?
