So much fun stuff to do in the Blue Mountains, not enough time. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Jarvis Ponds has to offer, you can camp at Grandview Campground, and obviously Fir Creek flows through this area. Here at Jarvis Ponds there are plenty of people from La Grande. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Grande Ronde River, and Super 8 LaGrande is a       wonderful site to get some rest. Jarvis Ponds is a location that is quite waterless regularly; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. During the warm months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Jarvis Ponds while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Jarvis Ponds dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There's                  so much to do here at Jarvis Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, La Grande Rendezvous RV Resort is a splendid place for that, and do take a hike on the Hale Spring Trail. You're possibly addicted to lakes, Feik Reservoirs is one of those close by, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Spout Springs. Any time is a wonderful time at Jarvis Ponds if you fancy the outdoors. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Summit Mount Emily Trail, and float down the rapids of Grande Ronde River in a kayak. This site, the Blue Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Lakes are wonderful; Starr Reservoir is a lake that's right next door to Jarvis Ponds, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Five Points Trail.
