Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Through the winter the highs are usually in the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Irish Lake tend to be in the 20's. Going for a hike on the Lakeside Trail is always a perfect adventure; get yourself into a kayak and hit McKenzie River - South Fork. And that's not all the things you       can do here in the Central Cascade Range. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mt. Bachelor, and nearby you stumble on the Packsaddle Mountain Trail which is a good hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Willamette Pass around here, and do have a look at Taylor Lake, it's a wonderful lake. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. A stunning lake like Heather Lake near Irish Lake is a good site to check                  out, and if the weather is wonderful, you acquire a good vista of Pillar Peak from Irish Lake. Irish Lake is a relatively wet place commonly with lots of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly December, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is July. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Irish Lake. If you came to camp Twin Springs Campground is a splendid place to do that, and glide down the rapids of Horse Creek in a kayak. There's so much to do here at Irish Lake that you need to camp here for a while, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a great location for that, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Twin Peaks Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
