This lake is so wonderful. A short spree to Alder Spring is always worthwhile, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Rock Creek Lake Trail. It is very dried up here at Iris Pond commonly; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; July is the month with the least moisture. That right there is loads of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Mountains has it all. There are       good places to discover along the Elkhorn Crest Trail, and don't forget to take a wonderful little tour to Alder Creek. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Iris Pond; the night is a tad chillier of course, frequently in the 30's. Throughout the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's, and night lows at Iris Pond during the wintertime frequently dip into the 0's. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Blue                  Mountains. Camping is available at Sumpter Pines. Going for a hike on the Twin Lakes Trail is always a nice adventure, and Alder Creek Meadow is a great place to stretch your legs a bit. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Unity Lake is a nice site to camp, and almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Adobe Pond is just a very short distance away. This place is great, just look at all the cool stuff to do near Iris Pond.
