It is very dehydrated here at Iris Pond regularly; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is July. Alder Creek is a good local stream; a spree to Alder Creek Meadow revitalizes the soul. And if you're still looking for more outdoors amusing things just keep reading. Don't leave Iris Pond without first going for a hike along the Elkhorn       Crest Trail, and you can stay the night at Sumpter Pines. Not far from Iris Pond, you'll discover Adobe Pond which is a charming lake; going for a hike on the Rock Creek Lake Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Mountains. During the warmest time of the year at Iris Pond highs are ordinarily in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 30's.
