Idanha Log Pond is located in the Central Cascade Range. For the duration of the summertime months here at Idanha Log Pond, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 40's with temperatures at Idanha Log Pond dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Idanha Log Pond; Fox Creek       Trail is a good local trail, and Detroit Lake State Park is a good campground nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Idanha Log Pond a wet site; the month with most of the rain is December while July is mostly the driest month. What a spot this is for outdoors people. A lake close by is Mud Puppy Lake, and get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Breitenbush River. This lake is so wonderful. You could also visit Cold Spring Reservoir                  while you're here at Idanha Log Pond; it's nearby, and there's whitewater on Santiam River - North for all you adrenaline people. All year is a splendid time in the Central Cascade Range if you fancy the outdoors. What would winter be without some skiing at Hoodoo.
