One of the principal features of the surroundings of Ice Lake is Craig Mountain; going for a hike on the Kettle Creek Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in close proximity to Ice Lake. Wallowa Lake State Park is a wonderful local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Copper Creek Trail. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs mostly       are in the 80's at Ice Lake. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Ice Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Baker City Super 8 Motel, and Razz Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Ice Lake gets very little rain; December is when you get the most snow here, and July                  is the month with the least moisture. If you came for an overnight stay Scenic Meadows RV Park is a nice place to camp; magnificent hiking is available along the Main Creek Trail. Man, is there a heap of enjoyable stuff to do in the Wallowa Mountains. You absolutely should adore the Wallowa Mountains. After a long day outdoors Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a pleasant location to spend a night or two, and if you get bored of Ice Lake you could also pop by close by Lilly Lake.
