    Beautiful Huxley Lake has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Resort at the Mountain, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Dry Ridge Trail. Having a great time at Huxley Lake is easy. This is a nice area for folks who like lakes. Squaw Lakes is a lake in close proximity; paddling on Roaring River is so much fun. Huxley Lake is a quite wet place ordinarily with a large amount of rainfall; most of the rain  
   falls throughout December, and July on the other hand is the driest.
Nearby lakes? Sure, Surprise Lake is right next door to Huxley Lake, and of course South Fork Roaring River flows through this area. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Central Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Huxley Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pelton Park is a good spot for that; if you need a place to stay Whispering
 
               Woods (Vri) is a splendid choice. Huxley Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range.
Throughout the warmest time of the year at Huxley Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows during the winter for Huxley Lake tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Mt. Hood Ski Bowl is a great local ski area. Stay the night at Lookout Springs Campground; going for a hike on the Fanton Plaza Trail is always a tremendous adventure.
You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Central Cascade Range. Get wet paddling on Clackamas River, and you can go for a hike on the Roaring River Trail.
