Summer brings highs in the 80's to Huddleston Reservoir. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Huddleston Reservoir temperatures sink to the 20's. Be careful coming       to Huddleston Reservoir, you might not ever want to go back home again. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Grande Ronde River. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Huddleston Reservoir. Wolf Creek Dam has wonderful water scenery and it's next to Huddleston Reservoir; skiing at Anthony Lakes is one of those things you just should do. Don't leave Huddleston Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Rock Creek Lake Trail, and at Huddleston                  Reservoir you always meet someone from La Grande. North Fork Anthony Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Boulevard Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a magnificent place to get some rest, and a short trip to Bowman Spring is always worthwhile. If you need a spot to stay La Grande Travelodge is a wonderful choice, and Shaw Mountain is clearly visible from Huddleston Reservoir. Looking for something near Huddleston Reservoir? Shaw Reservoir is around here; unsurprisingly Clear Creek flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Grande Ronde River offers some perfect whitewater, and Rocky Ford Campground is a tremendous local campground.
