On a magnificent day at Hortense Lake you can take a hike along the Cache Lake Trail, and a glorious place to camp here at Hortense Lake is Suttle Lake Resort and Marina. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! Hortense Lake is peerless! Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Ponderosa Lodge; soar down  
   the rapids of Marion Creek in a kayak. Hortense Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
Do stop at Peewee Lake in the vicinity of Hortense Lake, it's a beautiful lake; why not camp at Black Butte Resort since you're here at Hortense Lake. Summertime highs at Hortense Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Highs throughout
 
               the winter are commonly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Hortense Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You can spot Little Cache Mountain from Hortense Lake; if you come at the right time of year, Squaw Creek offers some glorious whitewater.
Hortense Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail next to Hortense Lake called the South Loop Cut Off; Lodge at Suttle Lake is a great place to get some rest.
Hoodoo is a splendid local ski area, and you'll come across a pretty lake called Four O'Clock Lake. All year is a good time in the Central Cascade Range if you love the outdoors. Near Hortense Lake you hit upon the Round Lake Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and the slopes of Mt. Bachelor are so inviting noone can resist.
