If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Wallowa Mountains. Camping is available at Wallowa Lake State Park; a good place nearby is Glacier Pass. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do close to Horseshoe Lake. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Main Creek Trail, and do explore Unit Lake, it's a beautiful lake. For the period of the long summer days highs here       at Horseshoe Lake reach the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Horseshoe Lake through the winter commonly drop into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant place to camp here at Horseshoe Lake is Scenic Meadows RV Park, and Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a great site to get some rest. The Wallowa Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Going for a hike along                  the Copper Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Lake Basin is a fine location to check out. You'll hit upon a stunning lake called Lilly Lake near Horseshoe Lake, and naturally Lake Creek is a stunning stream that is worth visiting. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in the Wallowa Mountains. From Horseshoe Lake you get a good sight of Craig Mountain, and hiking along the Kettle Creek Trail is tremendous fun. Around Horseshoe Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful.
