Martin Bluff is a great spot to go to while in the region, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Longview-Kelso here. Get covered with water paddling on Kalama River, and after a long day outdoors Mc Cormick Hotel is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. Camping at Horsepasture Lake is splendid fun, Louis L Rasmussen RV Park is a splendid local campground, and do take a hike on the Georges       Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Benham Slough is a swamp close to Horsepasture Lake; a day at lovely Goble Beach in the neighborhood of Horsepasture Lake is a good thing to do. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Goble Creek, and don't forget to visit Deer Island Point since you're here. The high level of rainfall makes Horsepasture Lake a quite wet spot; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and                  the driest month is July. Why not camp at Columbia Riverfront RV Park if you're here at Horsepasture Lake; Kalama River Inn is a good spot to get some rest. High temperatures at Horsepasture Lake all through the summertime are in the 70's, and the overnight is rather chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Horsepasture Lake. Horsepasture Lake in fact is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise.
