Horse Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wallowa Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Aspen Creek is a stream that you may encounter during your stay, and Horse Lake is a delightful location to camp, Copperfield Campground is a delightful location. Around Horse Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; December is the wettest month with most snow; the driest month is July. That right there       is a load of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Wallowa Mountains has it all. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Horse Lake has to offer, you can camp at McCornick Campground; close by you find the Summit Creek Trail which is a fine hiking trail. A wonderful nearby hotel is Best Western Rama Inn & Suites. For the period of the summer months here at Horse Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. For the period of the dark                  hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Horse Lake dip into the 10's.
