While you're here at Horse Camp Reservoir it's a nice idea to visit Rocky Plateau, and Horse Camp Reservoir is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Willow Valley Campground is a perfect local campground. Don't leave Horse Camp Reservoir without first checking out Horse Camp Rim, and Jennette Spring is always fun to check out. Horse Camp Reservoir is generally       a quite dehydrated spot; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; July on the other hand is the driest.
