The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Horning Reservoir, too great to be true. Get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Mollala River - North Fork, and since you're here and you like golf, you can explore Springwater Golf Course. A perfect close by hotel is Howard Johnson Gresham; great hiking is available along the Pine Crest Trail.       There are other sites here than Horning Reservoir, for example Swanson Reservoir, and the friendly people of Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. Eagle Fern Camp is a good local campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Horning Reservoir; High Camp Trail is a splendid local trail. Horning Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls all through December; the driest month is July.                  This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Milo Mciver State Park is a good place to camp, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Sandy Inn is a delightful choice. So many enjoyable things in the Central Cascade Range, just striking. Bittner Creek flows through this area; there's whitewater on Clear Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. High temperatures at Horning Reservoir during the long summer days are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's.
