Many people like to go to Horning Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Horning Reservoir you'll most likely meet some folks from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton. Horning Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range. Through the days of summer at Horning Reservoir highs are mostly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. These mountains rock, just check out all the fun stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. Glide down the rapids of Clear Creek in a kayak; why not take a refreshing hike along the High Camp Trail. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Horning Reservoir. If you need a location to stay
Best Western Sandy Inn is a great choice, and if you've had enough of Horning Reservoir, River Mill Reservoir is close by. Horning Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rain; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July is
the month with the least moisture. Getting to Bittner Creek from Horning Reservoir is painless, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Horning Reservoir; Pine Crest Trail is a nice local trail.
An afternoon playing golf at Springwater Golf Course is always a joy, and Milo Mciver State Park is a fine campground nearby.
