Stimpson Gulch is next to Hoover Pond Number One and is a wonderful spot, and the skiing at Mt. Ashland is wonderful. This lake is so       wonderful. There's whitewater on Big Butte Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard by Marriott Medford Airport. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. All the outdoors exciting stuff near Hoover Pond Number One will keep you coming back over and over. For you golfers we recommend close by Eagle Point Golf Course, and if you get bored of Hoover Pond Number One you could also pop by nearby                  Hoover Reservoirs. That right there is plenty of fun things already but it goes on, the Southern Cascade Range has it all. Having a great time at Hoover Pond Number One is uncomplicated. Hoover Pond Number Two is a nearby lake that you could explore, and going for a hike on the Chicago Trail is always a great adventure. Be careful coming to the Southern Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go home again. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rogue River; there are great places to look at along the Alco Trail.
