This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. All the outdoors entertaining things in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back persistently. Trout Creek is a stunning stream that is worth checking out, and a visit to Brownell Spring will fill your soul with perfect feelings. At Homestead Lake during the summertime highs are in the 70's; the night is rather cooler of course, usually       in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; nighttime lows at Homestead Lake through the winter typically sink into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Brookside Bed & Breakfast is a splendid choice, and camping at Armstrong - Mount Hood National Forest is always a great experience. One of the governing highlights of the surroundings of Homestead Lake is Lenhart Butte, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a                  hike along the Eagle Creek Cutoff. This place, Homestead Lake, it simply has so much outdoors cool stuff. Nearby lakes? Sure, Alder Reservoir is near Homestead Lake, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Fanton Plaza Trail. Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a fine time. A brilliant close by hotel is Shamrock Motel, and there are some great whitewater spots on Sandy River. A lot of precipitation falls at Homestead Lake; through the month of December you get the most rain around here; July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Homestead Lake called the Old Baldy Trail.
