The beauty of Holmes Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. Just can't get enough of the Siskiyou Mountains. Paddling on Big Butte Creek is so much fun; hey, Jeffery Creek is a pleasant local stream. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Glide down the rapids of Rogue River in a kayak, and Payne Cliffs is something you shouldn't miss while you're here.
This lake is so wonderful. There is a splendid hiking trail near Holmes Reservoir

| | called the Copper Trail, and Pear Tree Motel is a fine location to get some rest. At Holmes Reservoir during the summer highs are in the 90's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Holmes Reservoir are in the 30's. A pretty lake like Hilldale Reservoir close to Holmes Reservoir is a brilliant place to stop at, and there are plenty of people from Medford here at Holmes | |

And if that's not sufficient there's a load more enjoyable things to do in the Siskiyou Mountains. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Rogue Valley Manor Quail Point Golf Course; if you fancy
a little side tour, try Cliff Gulch. Baldy is a peak you can see from Holmes Reservoir, and if you need a location to stay Good Night Inn is a great choice. That right there is lots already, but it keeps on going; Holmes Reservoir
has it all. There's so much to do here at Holmes Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Oregon Roundup Resort is a great location for that, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Mount Ashland Trail.
Around
Holmes Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Mt. Ashland and strap some skis to your feet, and if you
came to camp Pear Tree RV Park is a pleasant location to do that. Holmes Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Siskiyou Mountains.
