Do stop at Beaver Creek Reservoir in the neighborhood of Holden Reservoir, it's a scenic lake, and after a long day outdoors Budget Inn is a perfect spot to spend a night or two.

| | high levels of rain; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Holden Reservoir really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Silver Creek, and Butte Creek has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by. Camping at Woodburn RV Park is always a good experience, and lots of folks from Salem come here.

This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Salem RV Park, and a good nearby hotel is Nordic Motel. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Holden Reservoir highs are mostly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures
fall down into the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Holden Reservoir temperatures plunge to the 30's.
