If you are traveling by, why not stop by Hohstadt Reservoir. Hohstadt Reservoir is a location that is quite arid typically; the wettest month of the year is mostly December, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month is July. Lagrande Super 8 Motel is a good location to get some rest, and if you're hooked on cool geologic features try Gasset Bluff. And that's not everything you can do here in the Wallowa Mountains. This lake is located in the wonderful Wallowa Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Boswell Creek if you're here at Hohstadt Reservoir, and going for a hike on the Lodgepole Trail is always a good adventure.

need to camp here for a while, La Grande Rendezvous RV Resort is a perfect place for that, and Anthony Lakes has good slopes and a friendly staff. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Hohstadt Reservoir. Whitewater
paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Grande Ronde River; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Rock Spring Trail. You'll meet a lot of people from La Grande here; close by you come across the
Huckleberry Trail which is a great hiking trail.
During the days of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Hohstadt Reservoir. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. For the period
of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Hohstadt Reservoir. Just can't get enough of the Wallowa Mountains. There's whitewater on Grande Ronde River for all you thrill seekers, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a great choice.
