Crabtree Creek
 | We walked/paddled from Larwood bridge to almost the 226 bridge stretch on June 3, 2007. We put in at 11am and we were about two miles from the 226 bridge (at 8pm) when we ran up on a nasty tree branch on a corner and popped the bottom of our inflatable kayak. Luckily, there was a house right there and the owner was real nice and gave us a ride to our truck! The water was VERY low and we had to walk alot of the creek. The deep parts would have been great to fish. There was a large tree across right before Richardson's Gap bridge, but we were able to slide the boat under on the left. It was a rather miserable trip, the rocks were very slippery when trying to drag the boat through the low spots!... |

 | 14 miles away Be mindful that the old pilings from the dam that was removed still exist and I believe present a hazard that must be scouted. I would hate to see your watercraft buggered up. It is a lovely river.... |
