A visit to Hixson Reservoir is always a good idea. Hixson Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Siskiyou Mountains. From a rain point of view Hixson Reservoir is a quite normal place; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest.
But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Siskiyou Mountains. Morris Reservoir is a nice lake in the vicinity of Hixson Reservoir; there's whitewater on Rogue River

| | for all you adrenaline kick people. Bommers Flat is a perfect place, and a fine place to explore nearby is Gold Gulch. If only every place had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great world it would be. Camping at Hixson Reservoir is great fun, Millpond Campground is a great local campground, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try East Fork Kane Creek.

Inn, and you can go for a hike on the Chicago Trail. This lake is so wonderful. At Hixson Reservoir you can distinguish Blackwell Hill, and don't leave Hixson Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Red Mountain Trail.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Hixson Reservoir, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows
in the 20's to Hixson Reservoir.
If you came for an overnight stay Central Point Koa Kampground is a brilliant place to camp; a golf course nearby is Laurel Hill Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors
TouVelle House Bed & Breakfast is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and Hixson Reservoir is a spot with many visitors from Medford.
