    Many people like to go to Hillside Reservoir. Through the warm days of summer here at Hillside Reservoir, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Hillside Reservoir fall into the 30's. Stay the night at Clackamette RV Park, and the good folks of Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton like to hang  
   out nearby. The annual rain here at Hillside Reservoir is about average; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest month is July.
Having a pleasant time at Hillside Reservoir is simple. Get drenched paddling on Molalla River, and don't forget to take a fine little tour to Buckner Creek. For you golfers we recommend close by Ranch Hills Golf Club, and C C Porter Dam has brilliant water scenery. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clackamas
 
               River, and if you need a place to stay Oxford Suites Gladstone is a tremendous choice.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hillside Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Town and Country Mobile Estates. This lake is so wonderful. You could also explore C C Porter Reservoir if you're here at Hillside Reservoir; it's close by, and don't leave Hillside Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Pine Crest Trail. A lake nearby is Big Rock Lake; dry warm beds await you at Rivershore Hotel on the Willamette River.

...there last weekend and we were disappointed to find that S. Mollala Forest Rd narrows and now effectively ends. Actually, it continues, but the road is impeded by a gate sporting many 'no trespassing' signs and marking it 'private property'. When we got to this point, we were just about to turn around and go home when another car drove past us onto the road. Having driven for several hours to get there, we dared to venture further, and followed the car despite the many warnings on the gate. Now, if you are reading this please heed my advice... never do what we did. Do not try to find this trail. Listen to signs. They are usually there for a reason. We could not locate the next road to turn on because all the old street signs had been removed and all of the old turn-offs warned away the unauthorized with huge boulders blocking the road, locked gates and more no-trespassing signs. After taking some pictures of beautifully dilapidated country houses, we decided to call it a day and return home empty handed. Don't Go all the way to wilsonville for a hotel. if you head in towards portland on the 26, there are plenty of hotels from government camp to welches. Personally if you're going to a lake in the mountains you should be CAMPING. And there are plenty of sites to do so, both reserved and not. There are great hiking trails and it's also full of fish and crawdads. Boating is a must if possible....
