This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. This place, Hills Pond, it absolutely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. All through the days of summer at Hills Pond highs are ordinarily in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Hills Pond are in the 30's.       This lake is so wonderful. People from Albany-Lebanon love to come to Hills Pond; a pleasant close by hotel is Travelodge Pioneer Villa. So many cool things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. There's so much to do here at Hills Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Premier RV Resort at Mallard Creek Golf Course is a pleasant place for that, and a fine place for whitewater paddling is Santiam River - South. Stay the night at Waterloo                  County Park, and a round of golf at nearby Pineway Public Restaurant & Golf Course is a fine way to kill some time. Econo Lodge Albany is a good place to get some rest, and get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Calapooia River.
