Not far from Hills Creek Lake, you'll locate Moon Lake which is a gorgeous lake, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Circle Bar Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are wonderful; Catching Reservoir is a lake that's right next door to Hills Creek Lake, and Willamette Pass is a wonderful local ski area. Hills Creek Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Oakridge Mobile Home Park is a delightful local campground, and going for a hike on the Bunchgrass Trail is always a good adventure.
