The beauty of Hilldale Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. This lake is one of the great places here in the Siskiyou Mountains. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Siskiyou Mountains. Homewood Suites by Hilton Medford is a nice site to get some rest, unsurprisingly you could also pop by Lowry Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Copper Trail, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Horizon Inn is a good site to spend a night or two. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Hilldale Reservoir, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's | |

Mt. Ashland
 | 11 miles away 3 PHOTOS If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
