High Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Mountains. And if that's not enough there's heaps more fun things to do in the Blue Mountains. You're in all probability hooked on lakes, Little Strawberry Lake is one of those close by; going for a hike along the Slide Basin Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more fun things to do here in the Blue Mountains. While       you're here at High Lake you can take a hike along the Lake Creek Trail. Any time is a pleasant time at High Lake if you adore the outdoors. This is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes. Strawberry Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. There's so much to do here at High Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Indian Springs Campground is a great spot for that. On a good day at High Lake you can take a hike along the Strawberry Basin Trail; if you came to camp                  Wickiup Campground is a pleasant site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. The vista of beautiful Indian Spring Butte near High Lake is splendid, and Best Western John Day Inn is a tremendous location to get some rest. After a long day outdoors Burns - Days Inn Ponderosa is a glorious spot to spend a night or two, and a short visit to Indian Springs is always worthwhile. During the summertime here at High Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at High Lake sink into the 20's.
