If you are in this part of Oregon make sure to pay a visit to High Lake. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. The snow is nice at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl, and Skookum Lake Campground is a fine local campground. High Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range. A good place for whitewater paddling near High Lake is Clackamas River, and High Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Pelton Park is a good site to camp nearby.

| | wonderful. Whispering Woods (Vri) is a glorious place to get some rest; there are wonderful places to discover along the Thunder Mountain Trail. High Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of December you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Cold Spring Trail is always a brilliant adventure.

70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at High Lake are in the 30's. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in
the Central Cascade Range. Do have a look at Timber Lake right next door to High Lake, it's a stunning lake, and a delightful nearby hotel is Resort at the Mountain. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always
go whitewater paddling on Roaring River; you can go for a hike on the Dry Ridge Trail.
All year is a good time in the Central Cascade Range if you like the outdoors. Skookum Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and at High Lake you can see Fish Creek Mountain.
