Through the summer highs here at Higgins Reservoir reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Higgins Reservoir. Take a little spree to Beaverdam Creek since you're here at Higgins Reservoir, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail. The scenery at Higgins Dam near Higgins       Reservoir is pretty; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Elkhorn Crest Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Depot Inn. There's so much to do here at Higgins Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Unity Motel and Trailer Park is a wonderful site for that. Near Higgins Reservoir you hit upon Trail Gulch which is a perfect location to take a look at, and after a long day outdoors Scoop N Steamer Station                  & Log is a great site to spend a night or two. If you love the outdoors, you'll go for Higgins Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Higgins Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Unity Lake; the Rock Creek Lake Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by.
