At Hidden Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 60's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Hidden Lake are in the 30's. A quick tour to Alsea River next to Hidden Lake is a pleasant idea, and do pop by Lotus Lake, it's a stunning lake. This lake is so wonderful. | | and a pleasant nearby hotel is Howard Johnson Inn Waldport. Hidden Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. Not far from Hidden Lake you find Yaquina John Point, and after a long day outdoors Shamrock Lodgettes is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. proximity to Holly Beach. So much fun stuff in the Coast Ranges, just extraordinary. A great spot to camp here at Hidden Lake is Beachside State Park, and what would a place like Hidden Lake be without exciting nearby traits
like Devils Bend. This lake is so wonderful. Drift Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and since you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Crestview Hills Golf Course. There is a pleasant hiking trail next
to Hidden Lake called the Horse Creek Trail. Hidden Lake is a wet place that gets much rain; through December this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is July. Yeah, come here to Hidden Lake for a wonderful time.
Lint Slough Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and during your stay here do check out nearby Ona Beach.

Beverly Beach State Park
 | 13 miles away 1 PHOTO ...ear since we were there. We went to the Yaquina Head Lighthouse... Amust see! We climbed all the way to the top and looked out over the ocean and what a view. We saw all kinds of wildlife while camping at Beverly Beach State Park: raccoons they came right up to us waiting for us to feed them and a beaver carrying a tree limb gave us a real spook!
It was dark and we were trying to find our one and only flashlight and while digging for it in our car, we heard some weird brushing sounds along the roadway and when we found the light and put it to where the noise was coming from, we saw a huge beaver carrying a tree limb off into the forrest. We were so shocked at how huge he was! He was the size of a small bear. At first I thought it WAS a bear but my husband said ''no, Baby, don't be scared... It's just a beaver and he wont hurt you. ''
The next morning we were making coffee and waiting for it to perk (a very slow way to make coffee) and the chipmunks were throwing pine cones at us from the tree tops and they actually hit me with one. Then they come down from the trees whi... |
