If you are in this part of Oregon make sure to pay a visit to Hicks Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Herman Creek Trail, and after a long day outdoors Cascade Motel is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. Chinidere Mountain is a peak you can spot from Hicks Lake; Bridge of The Gods Motel & Rv is a tremendous site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Timberline Lodge, and

| | great hiking is available along the Lost Lake Butte Trail.
You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Central Cascade Range. You're probably addicted to lakes, Mud Lake is one of those close by; it's a fine idea to go to Simmons Creek. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Central Cascade Range. River offers some great whitewater. A great location to camp here at Hicks Lake is Wind Mountain Resort, and Mt. Hood Ski Bowl has glorious slopes and a friendly staff.
Don't leave Hicks Lake without first going for a hike along
the Eagle Creek Trail. Hicks Lake is a pretty wet place typically with lots of rainfall; most of the rain falls all through December, and July is the month with the least moisture. Hicks Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central
Cascade Range.
Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! Hicks Lake is excellent! Hicks Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Cascade Locks Koa Kampground is a nice local campground; get yourself into a kayak
and hit Hood River - Lake Branch. Summer at Hicks Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Hicks Lake.
