All year is a good time in the Blue Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Clyde Holliday is a fine local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western John Day Inn. Herburger Pond is a location that is pretty dehydrated frequently; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.       For the period of the warm months at Herburger Pond highs are typically in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Herburger Pond dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is a perfect place next to Herburger Pond, and going for a hike along the Fawn Spring Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty                  of this neighborhood. Why not camp at Mt Vernon Motel and Trailer Park if you're here at Herburger Pond, and hiking along the High Trail is wonderful fun. Herburger Pond is a beautiful lake in the Blue Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Blue Mountains. Herburger Pond is close to Angel Gulch which is certainly worth visiting; do pop by Gordon Lakes, it's a picturesque lake. This lake is so wonderful. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Herburger Pond. Enjoy a round of golf at John Day Golf Club not far from Herburger Pond, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Berry Creek Trail.
