If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore Hendersons Pond. If you need a location to stay Mingo Motel is a splendid choice; you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Melton Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A quick visit to Wallupa Creek near Hendersons Pond is a magnificent idea, and Misery Spring Campground is a magnificent campground here. Summer brings       highs in the 80's to Hendersons Pond, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows at Hendersons Pond during the wintertime frequently drop into the 20's. At Hendersons Pond you don’t see much precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Rimrock Inn is a good location to get some rest, and camping at Hendersons Pond                  is perfect fun, Wallowa Valley Stay and wash is a perfect local campground. Take a hike on the Low Saddle Trail; there are some great whitewater spots on Grande Ronde River.
