Maple Headquarters Dam has great water scenery and it's in close proximity to Heesacker Reservoir, and camping is available at Big Eddy County Park. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Motel, and why not take a little visit to Lousignont Creek since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Nehalem River; Budget Inn is a good spot to get some rest.       Heesacker Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rain; during December this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Coast Ranges. All year is a great time in the Coast Ranges if you have a thing about the outdoors. If you come at the right time of year, Rock Creek offers some wonderful whitewater, and a golf course close by is Sunset Grove Golf Course.
