Do stop by Heart Lake while you're in this part of Oregon. So much cool stuff to do at Heart Lake, so little time. Going for a hike on the Fake Creek Trail is always a great adventure, and a short journey to Copper Creek Falls is always worthwhile. Heart Lake is pretty dehydrated generally; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is July. Having a glorious time in the Wallowa Mountains is easy. There's always Lookingglass Lake

This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a delightful choice, and getting to Copper Creek from Heart Lake is easy. There are other locations here than Heart Lake, for example Hidden Lake, and if you fancy a little side journey, try Bench Canyon. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do | |

in the Wallowa Mountains. You can catch a sight of Hummingbird Mountain from Heart Lake, and Heart Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Scenic Meadows RV Park is a good place to camp nearby.
This lake is so wonderful.
Baker City Super 8 Motel is a splendid location to get some rest. Heart Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wallowa Mountains. There is a nice hiking trail in the neighborhood of Heart Lake called the Trail Creek Trail; Main Eagle
Bridge Campground is a glorious local campground.
For the period of the summer at Heart Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Heart Lake throughout the winter ordinarily drop into the 20's.
