This lake is so wonderful. Some delightful nature is available in Clatsop State Forest, needless to say you could also explore Vernonia Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Be careful coming to the Coast Ranges, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Yeah, come up here to the Coast Ranges for a pleasant time. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lindsay Lake is near Hawkins Lake; after a long day outdoors Longview Travelodge       is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. Lots of rainfall falls at Hawkins Lake; throughout December this area sees the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Hawkins Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Big Eddy County Park is a delightful local campground, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nehalem River. This lake is one of the great places here                  in the Coast Ranges. Take a side trip to Crooked Creek. There's so much to do here at Hawkins Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cedar Ridge is a pleasant place for that. Summer at Hawkins Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's.
