Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Hawk Reservoir temperatures sink to the 10's. These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing things to do in the Blue Mountains. Hawk Reservoir is typically a pretty dried out location; during November this area sees the most rain; September meanwhile       is the driest month. Hawk Reservoir is located in the Blue Mountains. If the weather is great here at Hawk Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Owl Creek Trail; Hawk Reservoir is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Tree Campground is a magnificent local campground. A lake close by is Bear Butte Reservoir, and going for a hike along the Coffeepot Trail will let you absorb the                  natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are delightful places to stop at, and John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is no exception, and from Hawk Reservoir you obtain a splendid view of Bear Butte. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Blue Mountains. Hiking along the Black Canyon Trail is tremendous fun, and Bob Spring is an inspiring place to stop by during your stay.
