Good hiking is available along the Elkhorn Crest Trail, and Vaughn Dam is an interesting thing to check out. If you get bored of Haskell Reservoir, you could also check out close by Vaughn Reservoir; nearby you come across pleasant sites like Blue Canyon. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Haskell Reservoir; Rock Creek Lake Trail is a great local trail, and while       you're here you can play some golf at Baker City Golf Club. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Anthony Lakes, and a quick visit to Denny Creek is definitely a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. There's delightful hiking along the Twin Lakes Trail, and why not camp at Baker RV Park since you're here at Haskell Reservoir. High temperatures at Haskell Reservoir during the summer are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. During the winter highs are                  in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Haskell Reservoir temperatures plunge to the 10's. After a long day outdoors Trail Motel is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and if you came for an overnight stay Mountain View Holiday Travel is a great location to camp. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Salisbury Marsh is an exciting swamp near Haskell Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at Western Motel. Lots of folks from La Grande come to Haskell Reservoir.
