The Twin Lakes Trail offers hiking at its best, and not far from Haskell Reservoir you'll locate Vogel Reservoir which is a stunning lake. Head up to Anthony Lakes and strap some skis to your feet, and you could always explore Blue Canyon. At Haskell Reservoir during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. Knights Inn Baker City is a great location to spend a night or two, and swamps like Salisbury Marsh are fun to check out. If you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn Baker City is a great choice; do go to Vaughn Dam since you're here.
This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Denny Creek; camping is available at Baker RV Park. At Haskell Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly December, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month of the year is July.
