Camping at Horning's Fishing & Picnic is always a perfect experience; drift down the rapids of Nehalem River in a kayak. For the duration of the summertime months at Hartwick Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Hartwick Reservoir temperatures descend to the 30's. You       just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Coast Ranges has to offer. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rock Creek, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Hollis Hartwick Dam. Hartwick Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rain; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful.
