Go to Harpham Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Harpham Lake has to offer, you can camp at Buckhead Mountain Campground, and there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Mott Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Harpham Lake without first checking out Flat Rock, and if you come at the right time of year, Little River offers some good whitewater. | | has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Glide down the rapids of Umpqua River - North in a kayak, and the Panther Trail is a good hiking trail close by.
This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the summer months at Harpham Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Cascade Range is painless. At Hemlock Meadows Dam near Harpham Lake there are some exciting things to see; Horn Prairie is a splendid place.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Central Cascade Range
has to offer. There's so much to do here at Harpham Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Twin Lakes Campground is a good spot for that; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Hemlock Falls. Dry warm beds await
you at Best Western Oakridge Inn; if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Red Butte Trail. Harpham Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November while July is typically the driest month.
The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.
