Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Willamette River, and swing by Blue Lake Slough it's a tremendous site to stop at. Here at Harkens Lake there are plenty of people from Corvallis; camping at Carter Lake - Siuslaw National Forest is always a delightful experience. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Coast Ranges has to offer.       You're probably hooked on lakes, Oliver Lake is one of those close by, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Willamette River is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Harkens Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Harkens Lake plunge into the                  30's. Harkens Lake is located in the Coast Ranges. Nearby lakes? Sure, Martins Lake is close to Harkens Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Corvallis. Having a tremendous time in the Coast Ranges is simple. Harkens Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Oakvilla Mobile Home Park is a wonderful local campground, and get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Marys River. This lake is so wonderful. All the water falling down from the sky makes Harkens Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Diamond Woods Golf Course, and at Harkens Lake you can see Oliver Butte.   Rodeway Inn Willamette River, Corvallis 11 miles away Walking distance to restaurants and historic area.
