This place is unbeatable, just explore all the exciting things to do close to Hard  
   Scrabble Reservoir. A magnificent location to camp here at Hard Scrabble Reservoir is Fish House Inn, and dry warm beds await you at Fish House Inn. Hard Scrabble Reservoir is mostly a relatively arid place; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; September is when it's the driest.
Going for a hike along the Black Canyon Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and a journey to John Day Fossil Beds National
 
               Monument is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the South Prong Trail is pleasant fun, and places like Holding Pasture are magnificent to visit. Hard Scrabble Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Blue Mountains.
All the outdoors cool things in the Blue Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. Big Mowich Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Mountains. While you're here at Hard Scrabble Reservoir you can take a hike along the Coffeepot Trail; a trip to Blue Pot Spring will fill your spirit with tremendous feelings. Hard Scrabble Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Tree Campground is a great local campground, and of course Basin Creek flows through this region.
