All the outdoors cool stuff in the Coast Ranges will keep you coming back again and again. There are other sites here than Hamar Lake, for example Moser Pond, and Hamar Lake is not far at all from Corvallis. This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. If you come at the right time of year, Alsea River - North Fork offers some magnificent whitewater,       and Big Elk Campground is a wonderful campground nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things right next door to Hamar Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Fir Ridge Camp Grounds is a brilliant local campground, and lakes are such serene locations, why not pop by Buttermilk Lake. High temperatures at Hamar Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's;                  overnight lows at Hamar Lake during the winter usually descend into the 30's.
