High temperatures at Hamar Lake during the long summer days are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter highs are usually in the 40's with temperatures at Hamar Lake dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. Hamar Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls during December, and the driest of the months is July. So many fun things       to do in the Coast Ranges, not enough time. Take a little spree to Cedar Creek since you're here at Hamar Lake; a splendid location to camp here at Hamar Lake is Big Elk Campground. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. Dry warm beds await you at Galaxie Motel, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Corvallis here. Hamar Lake really is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. There's whitewater on Alsea River - North Fork for all you adrenaline                  kick people, and Hamar Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Fir Ridge Camp Grounds is a pleasant local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
